MEN'S MEMBER-MEMBER
“The Jerry O’Neal Cup”
“Bragging rights”, is what this Major Championship is all about. You and another member from the club will team up and take on the whole field to see whom the “best team” at the club is.
This event is handicapped and will be a Net Stableford format. With a Stableford format, your team will try to gain the most points possible by getting points based on your net score for the hole. Here is an example of how the points system will be setup:
NET Triple Bogey or Higher = -2
NET Double Bogey = -1
NET Bogey = 0
NET Par = 1
NET Birdie =3
NET Eagle = 5
NET Double Eagle = 8
Therefore, if your score was a net par and your partner’s score was a net birdie your team score for the hole would be a 6. At the end of the tournament we add up your total combined Stableford score and whoever has the most points will be the 2010 Member-Member Champions.
Play will begin on Saturday, July 17th at 8:30AM with our first 18-hole round. Your entry fee includes golf, prizes and food. After Saturday's round we will re-pair the field based on your scores and will start round two on Sunday morning at 8:30 for 18 more holes of championship golf. Again, whichever team has the highest combined score will win the Member-Member Event, the special prize, and will be a Major Champion for 2010.
If needed, a playoff to determine the champion will start on #1 with players receiving strokes as they fall on the scorecard. Any ties other than 1st will have the winnings split.
