2011 Summer Golf Program

The Professional golf staff at Centennial Country Club is pleased to announce our 2011 Summer Junior Golf Program for boys and girls. We feel the program this year will offer our junior golfers a rewarding experience filled with quality golf instruction and fun times. Our junior golfers will be the future members of Centennial. That is why it is important to teach them not only the good fundamentals of golf, but also the proper rules and etiquette for the golf course. Tom Cisler, PGA Professional Bill Ballew and the rest of our professional staff, look forward to working with your children again this year!

Schedule

The Centennial Summer Junior Golf Program will be held on Wednesdays. The program will consist of five(5) sessions starting June 15 and ending July 20. There will not be a session on July 6 unless we have an early rain out. July 27 will be used as a later rain out date. There is an optional Junior Club Championship held on August 3 open to all participants.

Format

In order for everyone to get the most out of the program, your child will be placed in groups according to their current golfing skill level. Those skill levels are:

Gold Level – Experienced golfers (those children with higher golfing skills)

Red Level – Older Novice golfers with some golfing experience

Orange Level - Younger Novice golfers with some golfing experience

Green Level – Beginner golfers (those children with little or no golfing experience)

Placement Method

Parents desiring their children to be placed in the Orange, Red, or Gold Level MUST have the children undergo a skills assessment. This skills assessment will be held at Centennial Country Club on two dates – Saturday June 4 or 11 from 2 – 4pm. You choose your assessment date when you register online. You can arrive anytime between 2 and 4pm. You only need to attend one assessment date. If you desire your child to be placed in the Green Level, no assessment is needed. You will be notified of your child’s placement by June 13.
